Davidson are pleased to be partnering with a leading Victorian service provider who are now seeking a high-calibre executive for the role of General Manager, Infrastructure. The position carries end-to-end accountability for the maintenance, renewal and operational readiness of a complex metropolitan infrastructure network across Victoria. With responsibility for a portfolio spanning civil, electrical, digital and facilities assets, as General Manager you will lead a significant size workforce, oversee a complex and critical budget, and ensure the delivery of safe, reliable and high-performing services.
This is a role of exceptional scale and complexity, requiring a leader with proven capability in large, asset-intensive and highly regulated environments. Success will be defined by the ability to deliver on strict safety, compliance and performance targets, while navigating the challenges of a heavily unionised workforce. A critical priority will be the integration of a major new infrastructure program and the successful delivery several milestones over the next 24 months. Key to your success will be your strategic leadership to drive operational excellence, and ability to develop effective relationships with government, regulators, unions and the public.
You will bring significant infrastructure leadership experience across aligned sectors including transport (preferably rail), utilities or other asset-heavy industries. Strong industrial relations capability, political and commercial acumen, and the ability to influence across technical, operational and regulatory domains will be essential.
