This position will lead detail design, management and financial control to successfully deliver allocated projects.  To ensure completion within (or below) cost and non-cost objectives. This involves coordination of the project team and liaison with other stakeholders to ensure the safe, effective and efficient delivery of all aspects of the works package, including safety, environment, community, schedule and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, reviews, and implements documentation to support the HSEQ Plan.
  • Reports and investigates injuries, incidents, and near misses within the required timeframe.
  • Implements corrective actions from audits, inspections, checklists, and investigations.
  • Reviews and provides recommendations for WMS and HSEQ Plans/Processes.
  • Completes routine project financial performance reviews.
  • Conducts analysis of Project Cost/Revenue, Cost to Complete, Variations, Progress and Contractual
  • Claims and other indicators.
  • Ensures systems required to capture the scope of work changes and variations are implemented.
  • Prepares and submits Progress Claims as prescribed.
  • Develops and routinely monitors the project program.
  • Reviews construction techniques' compatibility with the Program and encountered conditions, and routinely completes productivity checks (daily/weekly).
  • Sources applicable Killard plant and labour resources as required, managing constraints (where they arise) to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Procures materials and equipment as required by the Project.
  • Effectively utilises resources to ensure efficient and effective use.
  • Selects, documents, engages and administers Subcontracts.  Agrees and certifies progress payments, provides effective supervision and management, and ensures effective and documented subcontract closure.

What We're Looking For:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related field (Engineering degree required)
  • 5 to 10 years of Water industry experience, with a minimum of 3 years' experience working in Australia.
  • Computer proficient skills in relevant computer software packages - Excel, Project, Word, SharePoint etc.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal & written
