Kellys Mitre 10 is a proudly independent, locally owned hardware store in Wodonga. We're known for our expert advice, extensive product knowledge, and welcoming in-store experience - and we're looking for a hands-on Store Manager who can keep things humming.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the floor team to deliver exceptional customer service and product knowledge across hardware, powertools, garden and animal produce.
  • Oversee daily store presentation, stock levels, and merchandising standards.
  • Coordinate workflow to ensure smooth operations during peak and off-peak periods.
  • Mentor and train team members, building skills and confidence across the floor.
  • Work closely with staff to ensure shelves are always well-stocked, ticketed correctly, and displays are both tidy and engaging.
  • Handle escalated customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, manage stock replenishment, and oversee ordering and invoicing.
  • Drive team compliance with store policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in service, processes, and team culture.
  • Provide regular reporting to management.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a retail leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to lead by example.
  • A customer-first approach with the confidence to handle complex enquiries.
  • Solid organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Competence with point-of-sale and inventory systems, as well as general office software and apps.
  • A proactive mindset with a knack for spotting and solving problems quickly.
  • An understanding of – or interest in – hardware, trade, garden, or animal produce products, combined with the ability to learn fast.
