Senior Funeral Consultant

We are currently seeking a Senior Funeral Consultant to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate must have a caring and understanding nature together with well-developed skills and sensitivity to circumstances involving grieving people.

Full training will be provided for you to perform the following in your role.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Meet with families initially and provide advice and guidance on their options
  • Responsible of being involved in all elements of service delivery
  • Capacity to be at ease in dealing with death and the expression of grief
  • Align our service offering with the needs of families
  • Assist in setting up, coordinating and conduction of funeral services
  • Drive the hearse or mourning cars
  • Oversee operations throughout the arrangement process and on a funeral day
  • General administration duties and branch assistance
  • Participation in on call and after hour's roster, including weekends
  • Approach each day with a balance of sensitivity and efficiency

Skills and experience required for this role include:

  • Proven track record of delivering a high level of customer service
  • Current unrestricted drivers licence
  • Community focused mindset and well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Have excellent attention to details, for the coordination of paperwork, contracts and legal documentation.
