What are we looking for?What are we looking for? We have a great opportunity for a Senior Lawyer to join our Client Advisory Practice in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. This is a full-time role however we are open to part time and/or flexible work arrangements.
About The Role- As a Senior Client Consultant Lawyer, you will be responsible for conducting first client appointments with potential clients to determine if the matter is viable for Slater and Gordon to act on the client's behalf. If viable a Legal Cost Agreement should be offered and managed until returned. Your daily duties will include but are not limited to
- Conduct personal injury (Work + Road or Public Liability) first client appointments, including eliciting detailed instructions, providing accurate initial legal advice, and successfully offering and obtaining a Legal Cost Agreement.
- Building strong and trusting rapport with clients to deliver improved conversion and client satisfaction outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills to build proactive and meaningful relationships with members in the Legal Practices to ensure viability of matters, a clear client handover and to stay abreast of changes of law and legal process.
- Demonstrate innovative thinking and capability to test new techniques, including adoption and learning of new technology to enhance process effectiveness.
- As a senior lawyer in Client Intake, you will be required to provide legal mentoring and support engagement of junior lawyers in the Direct to Lawyer team.
- Post admission experience (5+ PAE) as a Personal Injury Lawyer (preferably in Public Liability or Work and Road).
- Demonstrate a high level of expert knowledge and passion for Personal Injury law (preferably in Public Liability or Work and Road).
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated skills in effective networking and relationship management.
- Previous experience in running a file load.
- Experience in management and/or mentoring of junior lawyers or support staff.
