This is a rare opportunity to step into a broad, hands-on role where your analytical skills, systems expertise, and accounting knowledge will make a direct impact.About the RoleReporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial data, supporting decision-making, and ensuring compliance across multiple business units. Your focus will span financial processing, month-end close, reporting, systems consolidation, and internal stakeholder support. This position will be ideal for someone who thrives on variety and is confident working both independently and collaboratively. This role will lead a team of 6.Key ResponsibilitiesFinance & ProcessAssist in delivering critical finance, accounting and compliance functionsComplete EOM cut-off and rollover tasksLiaise with internal stakeholders to gather and compile EOM information and reportsConsolidate accounts for three entitiesUpload period-end data to group systems for all entitiesMaintain and reconcile General Ledger and sub-ledgers with detailed analysisDownload and input monthly financials into reporting templatesAct as a back-up for payroll processingReporting & AnalysisAssist with Monthly Store and Consolidated P&L productionSupport business analysis and management reporting requirementsContribute to both internal and external reporting and compliance obligationsSupport AP team and inventory reconciliationsCollaborate with operational teams on rebate governance and managementWork with Merchandise and Finance teams on rebate tracking and managementWhat You'll BringDegree qualified (or progressing) in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline3–5 years' experience in a similar finance role, ideally within an FMCG environmentExperience in leading teams, ideally >4 peopleProven experience with computerised accounting systems and Excel (advanced level)Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and excellent organisational skillsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsVersatile, multi-skilled and ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment as part of a small highly skilled teamA team player with a proactive attitude and high accountabilityAt Clennett's Mitre 10, we are proud of our people and as an employee you will receive benefits including discount off in store purchases, access to our EAP services and health & wellbeing program, recognition of service awards, ongoing career development, as well as a day off for your birthdayThe successful candidate will be remunerated under the General Retail Industry Award 2010 in line with their knowledge and experience.
