Invest Gold Coast is an investment and economic development organisation, newly established by the City of Gold Coast to facilitate growth and increase investment into the Gold Coast, Australia's fastest growing city.
With a highly experienced Board and specialised team, Invest Gold Coast is responsible for promoting our city to Australian and overseas investors, facilitating major new investment and attracting new businesses, providing independent, commercial advice to Council on investment opportunities, and continuing to support and strengthen our local business community including through growing exporting.
The team works across our high growth industry sectors to continue to support and grow our economic base – Health & Wellbeing; Building Future Industries; Education & Future Skills; Tourism, Sports & Major Events; Screen & Game Production; and the Knowledge Economy.
About the role
This role undertakes property research, valuations analysis, and feasibility assessments to ensure projects are supported by robust evidence and aligned with the City's investment and economic growth objectives. The Property and Valuation Advisor contributes to due diligence, assists in property transactions, and provides recommendations that inform land use, acquisitions, disposals, and redevelopment initiatives. Working under the direction the Manager – Transaction Advisory they support valuation-related work, including reviewing market evidence, contributing to residual land value calculations, and coordinating external valuation consultants where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and review of property valuations, market analyses, and feasibility assessments to support decision-making.
- Gather and analyse sales evidence and market trends to inform highest and best use assessments
- Support the review and analysis of key City assets including research on ownership, planning/zoning, due diligence searches and market conditions
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and market conditions, advising on the implications for property and infrastructure projects
- Assist in due diligence processes including collation of title searches, survey plans, land contamination searches, service reports and consultant information
- Prepare briefing papers, reports, and recommendations for internal review and decision-making
- Maintain and update property and transaction databases, including pipeline project tracking
- Contribute to stakeholder engagement by coordinating meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining accurate records
- Provide administrative and project management support to ensure timely delivery of transaction tasks

About you
You are highly analytical with demonstrated experience in property valuation, feasibility analysis, or transactions. Experience in undertaking due diligence, investigating site services and access and associated relevant actions in relation to property transactions. Ability to manage and direct consultants effectively.
Drivers License Class C Unrestricted.
Bachelor's Degree in Property Economics, Valuation, Business/Commerce, or equivalent.
