About the Role

We're seeking a Product Development Lead to guide the end-to-end development of new and existing electromechanical products. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Marketing & Sales, Manufacturing, and Service & Maintenance to create innovative solutions from concept to commercialisation.

In this leadership role, you'll manage a team of designers, engineers, and contractors, while driving continuous improvement, maintaining compliance, and building a high-performing development culture.

What You'll Do

Lead the design and development of new products and services

Improve existing product designs to boost customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and enhance supply chain resilience

Build, mentor, and manage a talented multidisciplinary team

Champion best practices in engineering design, ethics, and safety

Define and deliver on product requirements using systems engineering principles (e.g. INCOSE frameworks)

Communicate effectively with stakeholders on timelines, risks, and outcomes

Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards (e.g. ISO9001, ISO13485)


What You Bring

At least 7+ years of experience in product development and commercialisation of electromechanical systems (e.g. medical devices, industrial automation)

At least 2+ years in a people leadership role

A degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline

Experience integrating UI/UX, software, electrical, and mechanical systems

Deep understanding of design controls, risk management, and product verification/validation

Strong analytical skills and familiarity with structured product development processes

  • CAD: SolidWorks, Fusion360
  • Software: C, C++, Python, Codesys
  • Stats/Analysis: Minitab or equivalent
  • Project Management: Microsoft Project or similar
  • Electronics (Bonus): Altium or other PCB design tools
