Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of cloud-based ICT solutions aligned with business needs and government digital strategies.
  • Evaluate complex stakeholder requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions, presenting options to senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Serve as a Principal Developer and later as a lead Architect, providing direction on software design patterns, development standards, and frameworks in medium to large-scale organisations.
  • Deliver high-quality systems and solutions in agile development environments, applying modern DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Design, build, and optimise enterprise-level reporting and analytics solutions, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Provide architectural oversight in projects leveraging SaaS CRM and Service Management platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Siebel, and ServiceNow.
  • Identify opportunities for technical innovation and efficiency improvements across platforms and services.

Selection Criteria 

  • Must have experience in ICT cloud architecture, technologies and current/emerging industry trends.
  • Must have proven experience in evaluating stakeholder requirements and developing and presenting solution options to business, senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Must have experience as a Principal Developer and then as an Architect, working for medium to large government or commercial organisations with software design patterns, development standards and application frameworks.
  • Must have proven experience in delivering system solutions in an agile environment.
  • Must have experience in the Reporting & Analytics domain.
  • Must have knowledge of a wide range of reporting and Business Intelligence concepts and practices, including Data Warehousing, Data Marts, ODS, Big Data, Data Analytics and Data Science.
  • Must have knowledge of a wide range of reporting technologies, in particular, Microsoft database tools, including Azure SQL, ADF, DataBricks, ADL, SSIS and SSAS.
  • Must have knowledge of one or more Business Intelligence or Dashboarding tools, e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, Qlik Sense, SSRS and SAS Analytics.
  • Must have experience in designing and delivering reporting solutions of SaaS CRM or Service Management platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Siebel and ServiceNow.
  • Must have experience in driving technical innovation, identifying opportunities where new technologies or practices can be utilised to better lives or improve efficiency/productivity.
  • Must have Microsoft Azure and Full Stack .Net Development experience, including: a. Must have a wide range of technologies and application designs, in particular .NET 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, 4.x, .Net Core 1.x, 2.x and 3.x development (C# mandatory), Microsoft Enterprise Library frameworks (or equivalent) and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). b. Must have developing web applications using modern web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS and modern JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, Angular and React. c. Must have working with Microsoft Azure cloud services, in particular Azure PaaS services (Web, API and Functions App, Azure SQL database, etc.)
  • Must have integration experience, including: a. Must have Integration patterns, service development (SOAP Web Services and RESTful APIs), API management (API security and usage policy definition) and SOA framework, as well as messaging formats (JSON and XML). b. Must have Service design and working with analysts and stakeholders to define re-usable API services.
  • Must have Network, Security and Identity Management experience.
  • Must have knowledge of current database (Oracle & SQL) implementations.
  • Must have experience with legacy to cloud platform migrations, including Oracle, SQL and unstructured datasets; data modelling, conceptual, logical and physical data models; data integration from legacy to cloud platforms, including ETL technologies and reporting.
  • Must have knowledge of legacy Oracle implementations (including Oracle 11 and 9), is desirable.
