A little about the role

The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide essential day-to-day administrative and operational support to the senior leader/s and portfolio of which the role supports. This role will focus on operational excellence while maintaining professional and collaborative relationships.

Some of the key responsibilities you will undertake:

  • Drafting correspondence, reports, presentations, and documents.
  • Provide comprehensive diary management, travel coordination, and correspondence support for the assigned leader/s.
  • Assist the leader/s to address contentious or priority issues, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely information to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Executive Office and other Executive Support members to ensure effective coverage and cross-training.
  • Communicate and provide customer service to a wide range of audiences including State Directors, employees, contractors, and external stakeholders.

This position is full-time, ongoing and you can be based at any of our offices, nationally

About you

The successful candidate will come with:

  • A suitable qualification in Administration, Business Administration, or similar field.
  • At least 5 years working in a similar role, with demonstrated experience working with Boards and executive level managers.
  • Competent in the understanding and use of IT and electronic communications, including Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate simply and effectively, both verbal and written, with a diverse employee group at all levels, recognising potential language barriers and cultural differences.
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to work with a number of different terms, conditions and processes simultaneously.
  • A good working knowledge of effective administrative systems and processes.
