Located at the end of the stunning Great Ocean Road in Warrnambool, VIC, Tilly Divine is a fully licensed venue offering delicious breakfast and lunch, seven days a week. Our bar is open from 7am serving beer, wine, and cocktails. We also specialize in catering for all types of functions, ensuring every occasion is unforgettable

We are offering a salary package of $70,000 to $80,000 per year, plus superannuation, for the right candidate.

We are looking for a Chef who:


• Has experience delivering high-quality dishes and maintaining excellent kitchen standards


• Demonstrates strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to create a motivating and positive work environment


• Has experience or knowledge in breakfast and lunch menu


• Is experienced in cooking and working as an integral part of the kitchen team


• Follows instructions diligently and ensures consistency


• Has a thorough understanding of food safety, health regulations, and handling procedures


• Is an exceptional multi-tasker with good initiative


• Possesses a genuine passion for food


• Has excellent interpersonal skills and remains calm under pressure, while fostering a team-oriented approach


• Is open to contributing to seasonal menu development and ongoing dish creation


• Is eager to expand their skill set and food knowledge by showcasing local produce

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


• Designing and creating seasonal menus, daily/weekly specials, and plate presentations


• Overseeing stock deliveries, equipment supplies, and managing purchase orders in a timely manner


• Ensuring the freshness and quality of ingredients and meals


• Demonstrating new cooking techniques and equipment to staff


• Preparing and cooking food for both dining and function services


• Implementing and enforcing hygiene regulations and ensuring the cleanliness of equipment and kitchen area at all times


• Managing food stocktaking procedures and waste management


• Conducting daily temperature checks


• Providing training for new staff members and addressing performance and development matters regularly


• Leading the kitchen team during service
