The opportunity
The Royal Freemasons community is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team at Coppin Centre Residential Aged Care Facility in Melbourne.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting our residents' comfort, dignity, and wellbeing. Working as part of a supportive and professional team, you'll deliver high-quality personal and clinical care that aligns with each resident's individual needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and daily living assistance to residents in accordance with their care plans.
  • Support residents with mobility, meals, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living.
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment by following care and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support high-quality care and compliance standards.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team.

About You

  • Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working in aged care or health services (preferred).
  • Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach to care.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of person-centred care and dignity of risk principles.
  • Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Key Requirements

  • It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
  • All Aged Care workers are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and to receive the Flu-Vaccine, all successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
