We're seeking an experienced Workday Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of a large-scale greenfield Workday implementation across HCM, Payroll, and Finance for one of Australia's leading financial institutions.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the foundational architecture of a tier-one Workday program from the ground up, ensuring scalability, compliance, and seamless integration across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for Workday HCM, Payroll, and Finance in a greenfield environment.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, program leadership, and vendors to ensure the solution aligns with enterprise architecture standards and business goals.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed, actionable Workday configurations and integration designs.
  • Provide architectural governance, design patterns, and best practice guidelines to functional and technical teams.
  • Oversee data migration, security design, reporting structures, and integration with downstream systems.
  • Support vendor evaluation, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Leverage Workday Adaptive Planning expertise (if applicable) to design and implement a robust planning and forecasting framework.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record as a Workday Solution Architect or Lead Consultant across HCM, Payroll, and Finance modules.
  • Experience in greenfield Workday implementations within large, complex organisations.
  • Strong understanding of Workday security, integrations (Core Connectors, Studio, PECI, EIB), reporting, and data conversion.
  • Ability to translate strategic business objectives into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of payroll compliance, financial processes, and enterprise-grade HR/Finance operations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills across business, IT, and vendor landscapes.

Highly Desirable

  • Workday Adaptive Planning experience.
  • Prior exposure to the financial services sector.
  • Workday certifications in HCM, Payroll, or Finance.
