Program Lead Architect

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Program Lead Architect to provide strategic and technical leadership across multiple projects within the fraud domain. This senior role is responsible for developing the systems architecture roadmap, integrating solution and cyber architecture plans, and leading a team of architects to deliver high-quality, business-aligned solutions.

You'll play a key role in designing and delivering data platforms, service enhancements, and digital transformations that strengthen fraud detection and compliance capabilities. Operating under broad direction, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders, manage architecture governance forums, and ensure solutions are aligned with program and organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic roadmap integrating multiple solution and cyber architecture designs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of solution and cyber architects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Provide thought leadership on program architecture and cyber strategy.
  • Align solutions with organisational goals, reference models, and standards.
  • Maintain technical oversight during delivery and resolve complex architectural issues.
  • Facilitate technical decision-making and chair architecture governance forums.
  • Present end-to-end project solutions for approval at governance councils.

Essential Criteria

  • 10+ years' experience as a lead architect delivering large-scale, complex solutions.
  • Broad technical and architectural background balancing tactical and strategic drivers.
  • Proven ability to lead an architecture practice and manage a team (5+ years).
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expertise translating business capabilities into technology requirements and roadmaps.
  • Ability to mentor teams and facilitate design reviews with senior executives.

Desirable

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent + TOGAF (or similar) certification.
  • Experience in fraud detection and compliance transformation programs.
  • AWS cloud architecture certifications, plus experience in Cloud, Cyber Security, and enterprise-class platforms.
