You might be an established customer experience specialist looking to bring your exceptional interpersonal, communication and data skills to the nonprofit sector.
Either way, you've got great instincts with people. You're the kind of person who follows up, checks in, and genuinely wants to make a difference. This job will give you the chance to do that every day while also working to grow the organisation's major donor and regular giving programs, alongside your fundraising peers.
If you want to be part of a movement and serve a highly-engaged community of donors and supporters while growing revenue and impact, this is a place where you will thrive.
WHAT'S ON OFFER
- permanent full time role
- lower north shore location
- hybrid WFH/office 3 days/2 days
- salary $90-95k + super
- boost your take home pay with salary packaging
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role that blends donor/customer care, donor stewardship, data analysis and campaign coordination.
You'll be the first point of contact for supporters and work on a flagship fundraising campaign while working to grow regular giving and major donor programs and identifying opportunities in the database.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising Campaigns and Donor Relations in a small, tight-knit team, your role will have the following focus areas.
Supporter experience and engagement
– managing email and phone enquiries, social media
engagement and community management and SMS communications (especially during the flagship campaign), welcome and thank you calls and general stewardship and engagement activity to deepen supporter relationships.
Major donor and regular giving program coordination
– helping to steward key supporters, contribute to relationship plans.
Donor journeys and communications
– collaborate with marketing to understand and improve the donor journey and develop and deliver onboarding and retention communications.
Data analysis and research
— light data analysis and research in the CRM database to identify and leverage growth opportunities, track and report on revenue streams.
Campaign and event support
– organise small-scale events and donor experiences to build strong relationships with supporters.
ABOUT YOU
You're confident, organised, curious and kind. You're comfortable working independently — making calls to donors, nurturing relationships, coordinating campaign logistics and working with a CRM.
Equally, you also thrive when collaborating with others. You'll enjoy working with colleagues across marketing and fundraising on donor journeys and conduct light data analysis to identify opportunities and growing revenue over time.
We'd love you to bring:
- at least 4 years' in fundraising, supporter care or high-level customer experience
- exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- a natural way with people and ability to build relationships with warmth and empathy
- strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle tasks and priorities
- a proactive and self-directed work style and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
- experience using a CRM system and working with data
- a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced, small team environment
- strong emotional intelligence and personal resilience.
Experience in a nonprofit or fundraising environment is ideal but not essential — what matters most are your communication, relationship and analytical skills and positive, team-focused mindset.
