Marketing & Community Connections (Events) Manager

Location: Tarneit, VIC

Thomas Carr College is a leading secondary school in Melbourne's west with a strong reputation for academic excellence, community spirit and providing meaningful opportunities for young people to thrive.

We are seeking an experienced Marketing & Community Connections Manager to lead our marketing, communications, events and enrolments function. This is a senior leadership opportunity to drive brand strategy, strengthen community partnerships, and support the ongoing growth and reputation of the College.

Experience in the education sector is highly regarded, however we welcome applications from exceptional marketing and communications professionals from all industries.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver the College's marketing and communications strategy
  • Plan and execute campaigns across digital, print, social media and community channels
  • Strengthen community engagement and partnerships, including primary school outreach
  • Oversee brand management and ensure a consistent College identity
  • Manage end-to-end content production (photography, video, publications, signage)
  • Oversee website and social media presence
  • Lead enrolment and registrar processes, ensuring a positive experience for families
  • Coordinate key College events and ensure high-quality delivery
  • Develop alumni engagement programs and communication channels
  • Provide insights and reporting on marketing and enrolment activity

About You

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in marketing, communications, public relations or related fields
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans
  • Strong digital and social media capability
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence leading projects and managing competing priorities
  • Outstanding written and visual communication skills
  • Experience managing events and community engagement initiatives
  • Ability to work in a values-based environment and contribute positively to school culture
  • Working With Children Check (or eligibility to obtain)

Experience in a school or education setting is advantageous, as is familiarity with platforms such as InDesign and WordPress.
