We are currently looking for an energetic and motivated professional to join our amazing hospitality team. Full time or part time hours available.

As an Assistant Venue Manager, you will be responsible for leading and engaging with your team whilst demonstrating an excellent customer focus, committed to creating a great experience for all at Postmaster.

You will be someone who thrives in a busy venue while demonstrating:

  • Positive professionalism, a naturally friendly and engaging personality who is committed, dependable and enjoys a challenge.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A 'can do' attitude with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Calm and caring leadership style who understands the importance of a positive team culture.
  • Passion for food, wine and people.
  • A minimum of one year experience as a assistant restaurant manager or experience as a shift supervisor, ready for the next step
  • Experience in running functions/events such as weddings, big aged birthday's, corporate end of year parties (not necessary but a bonus)
  • Computer literacy / proficiency

More specifically, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the venue - including opening, closing and everything in between.
  • End to end management of the hospitality team – hiring, training and development along with rostering.
  • Communicating effectively with management and the team to ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience.
