Senior Accountant

Leading Retail Organisation located in the CBD is looking for a permanent Qualified Senior Accountant to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process
- Prepare and submit group reporting packs
- Deliver monthly management reports with key financial insights
- Collaborate with the broader finance team and cross-functional departments, including IT, Marketing, and Legal
- Assist with the annual budgeting process
- Manage the monthly working capital forecast and analysis
- Manage all tax compliance obligations, including FBT, GST, and annual income tax
- Drive the year-end audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement projects and efficiency initiatives
Required Background
- Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA)
- Responsibility for month-end reporting, tax (i.e. FBT, GST, and annual income tax) and managing the audit processes
- Have been involved in process improvement initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with all levels of the business
- Product-based industry experience (Retail, FMCG, Wholesale etc.)
- Have worked in a medium to large-sized enterprise
