Leading Retail Organisation located in the CBD is looking for a permanent Qualified Senior Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close process
  • Prepare and submit group reporting packs
  • Deliver monthly management reports with key financial insights
  • Collaborate with the broader finance team and cross-functional departments, including IT, Marketing, and Legal
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process
  • Manage the monthly working capital forecast and analysis
  • Manage all tax compliance obligations, including FBT, GST, and annual income tax
  • Drive the year-end audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement projects and efficiency initiatives

Required Background

  • Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA)
  • Responsibility for month-end reporting, tax (i.e. FBT, GST, and annual income tax) and managing the audit processes
  • Have been involved in process improvement initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with all levels of the business
  • Product-based industry experience (Retail, FMCG, Wholesale etc.)
  • Have worked in a medium to large-sized enterprise
