Civil Foreman

Workfast are currently seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to oversee daily operations on major road and infrastructure projects across North Queensland.

• $70–$80/hr + Penalties + Vehicle

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met
• Supervise crews, subcontractors, and plant operators
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and resources to meet project schedules
• Conduct toolbox meetings, pre-starts, and safety briefings
• Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and project managers to maintain efficient workflow
• Monitor and report on progress, QA, and environmental compliance
• Manage site documentation and daily reporting requirements
• Lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented work culture

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Civil Foreman on road construction or civil infrastructure projects
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Sound understanding of civil construction standards, specifications, and safety regulations
• Ability to interpret plans, manage schedules, and meet production targets
• Current Driver's Licence and White Card
• Additional machinery tickets (e.g., Roller, Excavator) advantageous
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
