The opportunity 

Are you ready to take your field expertise to the next level? IMDEX is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team, this role will support the roll out and ongoing trials of our groundbreaking Digital core orientation system, the ACTxTM  and LOGRxTM.  This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation in mining technology, working directly with clients to deliver smarter and more reliable orientation data.

Other key aspects of the role include:

·       Deliver onsite training and technical support to drilling contractors, helping them to embed workflows with confidence.

·       Support site geologists and core shed field technicians with digital data review in HUB-IQ.

·       Trouble shoot hardware and software issues with precision and urgency.

·       Provide feedback to product design and development teams to ensure our products continue to meet evolving client needs.

·       Work independently across remote sites, backed by a collaborative team.

The Role

The position is primarily based in the field with the drilling rigs, however there will be some time spent in Perth with Drillers and Resource companies. Key aspects of the role below:

·       Primarily site-based role to support trials

·       Flexible Roster

·       In depth in-house training provided

·       Work with Underground and Surface Diamond Rigs

·       Company provided Laptop

·       Company Provided Phone

To be successful

We're looking for someone who is passionate about solving problems, building relationships and driving results. The successful candidate will have experience in either the resources, exploration or drilling industry. Training with IMDEX products will be provided. Additional requirements include:

·       Experience in a technical field service — ideally in diamond drilling, geology, mining, technology, or heavy industry.

·       Strong technical with both mechanical and digital systems,

·       Ability to engage with clients and build trust.

·       Ability to lead small team meetings with drillers and geologists

·       Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a proactive and professional approach.

·       Willingness and ability to travel to remote and challenging environments.

·       Valid driver's license

·       Complete Mine Spec Medical

·       Police Check
