Are you a hands-on technician with a passion for healthcare technology and customer service? We're looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team and provide onsite support for Nurse Call and Patient Engagement Systems (PES) across healthcare facilities.

The Field Service Technician plays a vital role in delivering onsite technical service and support for Nurse Call systems, Patient Engagement Systems (PES), and associated infrastructure. This hands-on role is responsible for performing installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance, while ensuring accurate documentation and asset tracking through updates to the CMDB and asset registers. The Technician maintains up-to-date product knowledge, adheres to defined processes, and actively contributes to service quality and continuous improvement. Unresolved issues are escalated appropriately to the Field Services & Continuity Manager or Field Supervisor to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As a Field Service Technician, you'll be the face of our technical support team, responsible for:

  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining Nurse Call and PES systems.
  • Troubleshooting electrical and IT issues onsite.
  • Updating asset registers and configuration databases (CMDB).
  • Documenting service activities and ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Supporting project deployments and contributing to service continuity.
  • Escalating complex issues to senior technical staff when needed.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Certificate or Diploma in Electrical or IT trades (or equivalent experience).
  • Electrical License and/or Cabling License (mandatory for specific tasks).
  • OH&S Induction Card and Working with Children Check (mandatory).
  • ITIL Foundation certification (desirable).
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and follow structured processes.
  • A proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.
