ROLE DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Education Assistant Special Learning Needs

Tenure: Full Time – Ongoing

Commencement Date: Thursday 1 January 2026

Application closing date: Monday 13 October 2025 – 3:00 p.m

Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and committed Education Assistant Special Learning Needs to join our team commencing Thursday 1 January 2026. Working primarily within the St Francis Centre and classroom settings, the successful candidate will support students across Years 7 to 12 in their academic, social and emotional development. This role involves working closely with teachers and the HOLA Learning Support to assist students with diverse learning needs, promote inclusive education and contribute to a positive and respectful learning environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting students in accessing curriculum content and classroom activities
  • Assisting with the implementation of individualised education plans and learning strategies
  • Encouraging student engagement, independence and confidence
  • Contributing to pastoral care and co curricular programs
  • Collaborating with staff to support student wellbeing and holistic development
