About the role

Quest Personnel is seeking a skilled Mill Laboratory Technician to join our team in Tumut, Snowy & Monaro NSW. As a casual role, this position offers flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle. You will play a crucial part in supporting the operations of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting routine laboratory tests and analyses to monitor product quality and process performance
  2. Preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and recording test data with a high degree of accuracy
  3. Collaborating with the production team to identify and resolve any issues that may arise
  4. Maintaining meticulous records and documentation in accordance with company and industry standards
  5. Contributing to the continuous improvement of laboratory procedures and processes
  6. Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure a safe working environment

What we're looking for

  1. A relevant technical or scientific qualification, such as a diploma or degree in a laboratory-based discipline is desirable. Year 12 accreditation minimum in Science.
  2. Demonstrated experience as a laboratory technician or in a similar role within the manufacturing or industrial sector
  3. Proficiency in the use of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies
  4. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate and reliable results
  5. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the production team
  6. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance
