Kitchen Supervisor/ All Rounder

Axil Coffee Roasters has been at the forefront of Australia's specialty coffee scene since 2010. From our original roastery in Hawthorn, we've expanded to some of Melbourne's most iconic locations, and we're proud to call Australian Barista Champion Jack Simpson part of the Axil family.

We're now launching a new specialty café in Sydney, and we're looking for a full-time BOH team member. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches and other made-to-order food items in a fast-paced cafe environment. If you have a passion for food, working with leading industry professionals and enjoy having your evenings to yourself we might just be the right company for you.

What you will need:

  • Experience working in a similar environment and role
  • Passion for and knowledge of the food industry as well as continually pushing the benchmark
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and team work skills

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Preparing a variety of sandwich fillings and toppings using fresh, high-quality ingredients
  • Assembling sandwiches, toasties and other made-to-order items with care and attention to detail
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workstation to ensure efficiency and food safety
  • Providing exceptional customer service and assisting with other cafe duties as needed
  • Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
