About the Role:
This role is perfect for someone with a person-centred approach, who has a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for those with physical or intellectual disability, who enjoys a challenge, and enjoys the rewarding feeling of making a difference in someone's life.
We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for a child requiring support within the home involving Community Access and In Home Care.
Shifts available: Monday to Friday 3:30pm - 7:30pm
Positions may be available in surrounding suburbs.
Pay rate Minimum starting rate is $43.33 per hour, plus allowances for evenings, weekends and public holidays (based on qualifications and experience).
Skills and Experience:
Desirable Competencies:
- Experience working with and supporting Children
- Experience with Mealtime Management
Experience and/or qualifications in Individual Support, Disability Support, Aged Care or equivalent (students currently studying in these areas, as well as Nursing, Physio Therapy, OT and Paramedicine also encouraged to apply)
- Enthusiastic, positive approach to supporting people of all ages and backgrounds living with a disability.
- Reliable, kind, and caring nature, with good work ethics
- Well-presented and a professional approach
- Active with average physical fitness level
- Flexible and adaptable to the needs of people's individual support needs

Requirements:
- Current resume and 2 professional referees
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC) (Employer)
- Current driver license and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011/HLTAID003) & CPR (HLTAID009/HLTAID001)
