Job Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' communication skills.
- Provide therapy to patients to improve speech and language abilities.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to enhance communication.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Document patients' progress and maintain accurate records.
- Stay updated on advancements in speech pathology treatments and techniques.
- Recent full-time experience in this line of work. (presently employed)
- Valid certification as a Speech Pathologist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with individuals of all ages with varying communication disorders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- 5 years of experience in speech pathology practice.
- Previous work in a healthcare or educational setting is preferred.
- Salary Range: $74,000 - $98,000 per year (AUD).
