Rise & Shine Kindergarten Maroochy River2 (Maroochydore) is currently recruiting a Diploma Nursery Room Leader to join our wonderful team on a Full Time basis (38 hours per week).

Responsibilities:


• Reasonable protection of the health, safety, security and well-being of all children and staff within the service including the provision of safe environments, nutritional requirements, infectious diseases and infection control


• Adherence to relevant policies, procedures and statutory requirements


• Respect for and inclusion of diversity in its many forms


• Provide a stimulating, play-based learning environment and provide a variety of activities on a daily basis including reading, singing and games


• Prepare materials and activities for all activities within the nursery


• Ensure adequate supervision of all children at all times and ensuring hygiene practices are followed


• Supervising / implementing daily routines of children


• Demonstrated knowledge of child health and safety including safe environments, nutritional requirements, infectious diseases and infection control


• Apply child-appropriate behaviour guidance strategies


• Respect for and maintenance of confidentiality, including via electronic media / social networking


• Supervising other employees and working with individual and groups of children

Requirements:


• You are a team player and enjoy working with a vibrant and passionate team of professionals, with a passion for what you do


• Sound understanding of National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework


• Hold a relevant
• Diploma
• Qualification in Early Childhood Education and a minimum of one year of practical work experience


• Hold a current Blue Card.


• Hold a current first aid certificate, plus asthma & anaphylaxis training
