In collaboration with the Australian Federal Government, Emanate Technology is looking for a dynamic Business Analyst to join a high-performing EPMO team focused on enhancing the Portfolio Project Management (PPM) tool used by senior executives and project professionals.

We're on the hunt for a high-energy, adaptable BA to join a dynamic EPMO team – a passionate crew of portfolio specialists shaping the future of project delivery. This is a fast-paced, agile environment where adaptability, stakeholder engagement, and clear documentation are key.

What you'll be doing

  • Working in the EPMO team alongside portfolio specialists
  • Facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders across multiple levels
  • Scoping and planning new work across enterprise programs and projects
  • Gathering and analysing business needs using workshops, interviews, user journeys and process maps
  • Collaborating with project managers, product owners, SMEs, architects and external vendors
  • Leading requirements development and documentation to support enhancements to Clarity PPM
  • Contributing to gap analysis, business process design and stakeholder consultation
  • Supporting Agile delivery with user stories, backlog grooming and sprint planning
  • Participating in strategic planning and driving continuous improvement
  • Maintaining awareness of operational, strategic and political impacts
What you need to bring
  • Demonstrated experience delivering business analysis in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to define and document business requirements with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong background in developing user stories, process maps, and user journey documentation
  • Experience contributing to software development or digital transformation projects
  • History of managing competing priorities and tight deadlines effectively
  • Track record of building collaborative relationships in cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated capability facilitating workshops to gather and validate requirements
  • Solid grounding in business systems analysis and process improvement practices

  • Experience with Clarity PPM or other portfolio/project management tools
  • Familiarity with federal government project environments
  • Strength in applying emotional intelligence in team and stakeholder interactions
  • Confidence working in an Agile environment
  • Involvement in enterprise-wide tool upgrades or implementations

  • Initial 9 month contract + 2 x 12 month extensions
  • This role may require federal government security clearance and as such we are only able to accept applications from candidates with Australian Citizenship.
  • You must have the ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
