Primary objective
Manage projects from initiation to completion to ensure timely delivery of defined outcomes, this involves coordinating resources,
engaging stakeholders, and monitoring project scope, quality, and risk. The role is integral to advancing NT Health's strategic goals
by ensuring services are evidence-based, culturally appropriate, and of high quality.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Develop and deliver assigned projects from planning to execution and post-implementation support.
2. Prepare high level reporting, communications and other correspondence, including Ministerial briefings.
3. Develop and maintain effective collaborative partnerships and strategic relationships with other relevant government and non-
government organisations.
4. Consult with and engage in negotiations, and share information between government, non-government organisations, Aboriginal
communities, and other community stakeholders.
5. Work collaboratively with the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch to progress key government priority projects.
- Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to
ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Possesses a comprehensive understanding of remote service delivery across Government, Non-Government, and Aboriginal
Community Controlled Health Organisations, with awareness of the social, cultural, and environmental factors affecting service access
and delivery in the Northern Territory.
- Demonstrates proven experience in researching, analysing, and collaboratively developing and implementing projects, policies, or
strategies, supported by strong conceptual and analytical skills.
- Effectively builds and maintains relationships with diverse stakeholders, gaining cooperation and support to enhance service delivery
to individuals, families, and communities.
- Communicates complex information clearly and appropriately to various audiences through excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal
skills, including reports, presentations, and consultations.
- Manages multiple priorities with strong organisational and time management skills, working both independently and collaboratively
while adapting to changing demands.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or other related discipline
