We are currently seeking applications for a Principal Advisor, to join Priority Reforms at the Department of Treasury & Finance.

Remuneration: ASO8 – Salary Range ($121,107 - $125,679 p.a.).

About the opportunity:

The Principal Advisor is accountable to the Director, Priority Reforms for managing and leading policy development and analysis and undertaking complex financial and budget analysis and lead, plan, develop, implement, evaluate and co-ordinate complex cross government policy reform projects.

About you

To be successful you will demonstrate:

  • Superior written and oral communication, including the ability to explain complex concepts succinctly and clearly
  • Significant policy development, implementation, evaluation and/or reform experience
  • Shaping strategic thinking and providing innovative policy advice, including through the demonstrated use of high-level analytical and problem solving skills
  • Tertiary (university bachelor's degree level) qualifications in accountancy, finance, business management, economics, commerce, law, public policy or other relevant field (desirable).
