The role

As our new Recoveries & Settlements Optimisation Lead, you will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional service and strong cost outcomes through continuous improvement and optimisation of motor claims processes across the Third-Party Recoveries & Settlements team.

Position Accountabilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of optimisation projects, including scope definition, timeline management, and risk mitigation.
  • Conducting thorough analysis of existing claims processes to identify bottlenecks, gaps, handoffs and areas for improvement to improve overall claim outcomes
  • Champion and lead change management efforts for the implementation of new processes, systems, and tools. This includes developing and executing comprehensive communication and training strategies, assessing readiness, and providing essential support to ensure effective adoption and integration of new ways of working across the team.
  • Working with key stakeholder groups across the business to identify automation opportunities, implement digital solutions and leverage technology to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve claim outcomes
  • Utilising data analysis tools and techniques to develop process insights and provide accurate and insightful reports that support successful embedment of optimisation initiatives
  • Proactively identify and analyse complex operational challenges, applying critical thinking to evaluate root causes, develop innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Motivating and influencing team members to identify process and system opportunities by fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and excellence

What experience you'll bring

  • 3-5 years Motor Claims and/or 3-5 year Process Optimisation experience preferably within a personal insurance context
  • Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations to operate in Motor Claims
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills with exceptional communication & interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage, influence and develop others and liaise effectively with various stakeholders
  • High level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions and high level project management experience
