CSBS is seeking Support Workers to help shape meaningful outcomes every day. We're expanding our team and currently have an exciting opportunity to support two female participants in Banya (Sunshine Coast). About the roles

These roles are providing mental health and disability supports to two female Participants who live in Banya on the Sunshine Coast. This is a 24/7 Supported Independent Living environment.

Due to the second Participant moving into this location shortly, we have four permanent part time positions available.

Please note: There is a small friendly dog in this home.

It is essential that applicants are confident in managing Bipolar Affective Disorder, Depression, Diabetes and providing high personal care supports. One of these Participants is unable to ambulate and is dependent on a wheelchair.

For applicants that have experience with Autism and or Dementia, there is an opportunity for additional hours supporting a male Participant at a different location.

We have an immediate commencement available for these positions and offer paid buddy shifts and orientation.

The ideal candidate(s) will have:

·       Experience supporting individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities, including hoisting and personal care assistance.

·       Experience with diabetes management

·       A passion for empowering individuals and fostering independence.

·       At least 24 months' experience in complex SIL environments

·       A calm, non-judgemental approach with strong professional boundaries

·       Experience working with individuals who require mental health supports.

·       Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts (including sleepover shifts)

·       Have experience in providing trauma-informed care.

·       You are patience, understanding, and confident with de-escalation techniques.

·       Will be comfortable providing supports with a small dog in the home.
