About the Role:

We're looking for someone confident and capable of managing the front-of-house independently during their shifts. This is a customer-facing role with responsibility across table service, order taking, bar service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat customers with warmth and professionalism
  • Take food and drink orders accurately using POS system
  • Handle dine-in and takeaway orders
  • Serve food and beverages to tables
  • Attend to customer needs and provide recommendations
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages (RSA required)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of front-of-house and bar
  • Manage EFTPOS and cash payments
  • Be a reliable presence during rostered shifts

Requirements:

  • Must be available for fixed, regular shifts Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday pm) (remaining weekdays, weeknights and weekend availability is a bonus but not required)
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a front-of-house or waiter role
  • RSA Certification (required to serve alcohol)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and confidently
  • Friendly, professional, and adaptable under pressure

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a busy restaurant or café
  • Familiarity with Sri Lankan cuisine (not required but a bonus)
  • Ability to handle barista duties or cocktail preparation (training provided if needed)
