About the role

Join the dynamic team at Grand Motors Mechanical & Smash Repairs' as a full-time Light Vehicle Mechanic. Working in our state-of-the-art workshop in Campbellfield, Victoria, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of passenger and light commercial vehicles.

What you'll be doing

  • Diagnose, service and repair a variety of light vehicles including cars, utes and vans
  • Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake servicing, and wheel alignments
  • Perform more complex repairs on engines especially accidental cars, transmissions, suspension and electrical systems
  • Use the latest diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Maintain detailed records of all work completed including service logs
  • Provide exceptional customer service and liaise with clients to ensure their satisfaction

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience as a qualified light vehicle mechanic
  • Strong practical skills and technical knowledge of light vehicle systems and components
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
  • Proficient in using computerised diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Current valid Australian driver's licence (manual transmission preferred)
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency or valid work visa
