Would you like to join our passionate Sales team as the Key Account Manager ready to service high end retail customers such as IHG (Mitre10) and other retail garden independent groups and businesses?

Key Account Manager, Sydney OR Brisbane based

Join the Evergreen-Searles Sales team managing existing Key Accounts Australia wide, including Garden Centre Groups, Hardware Groups (non-Bunnings) and selected Agri/Produce groups whilst exploring new channel opportunities.

Searles (an Evergreen Garden Care Company) is a wholesale business operating for over 47 years which specialises in the manufacturing and distributing high-quality gardening products including growing media, fertilisers and plant care. Searles is renowned for high quality, performance and innovation, and continuing to build a strong presence in the Australian market whilst maintaining a high focus on customer service. Searles recently joined the Evergreen Garden Care Australia family which has provided us the ability to build upon our expanding brand presence.

What will you be responsible for?

This role is responsible for the continuous improvement, increased brand and range and the management of relationships with defined Key Accounts at the corporate level. Some of these responsibilities include, and are not limited to:

  • Manage the corporate relationship with selected key accounts and key personnel to deliver strategies and sales targets

  • Lead interaction on all strategic and tactical ranging matters with key accounts.

  • Analyse data to understand in-depth sales patterns and customer requirements/needs.

  • Develop and scope new line/ range opportunities within each channel as part of the team

  • Maintain strategic account plans for all accounts, including joint scorecard

  • Work closely with Independent Category Brand Manager to ensure plans are aligned to the brand and marketing strategy

  • Channel Management & Pricing structures including negotiating Trading Terms.

  • Assist in implementing strategies with Sales Team for instore execution of plans.

  • Business Analysis & Insights and reporting.

About you

  • Experienced in Key Account Management – ideally with experience servicing in the FMCG, Hardware and/or Garden industry

  • Excellent business acumen, account management knowledge and planning skills

  • Ability to articulate the customer requirements and communicate the message internally across functions

  • Ability to achieve targets and goals which may include increasing sales and market share.

  • Discipline and motivation to work autonomously whilst prioritising tasks

  • You have strong attention to detail and able to analyse sales data

  • You have sound computer skills and are proficient with Microsoft Office

  • You possess a full vehicle driver's licence with an excellent driving history

  • Ability to travel locally and inter-state as required from time to time by the role
