About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to provide accurate and timely delivery of services, supporting the maximisation of revenue collection for Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation, organisational policies, and procedures. Support and coordinate enhanced hospital 'Own Source Revenue (OSR)' for professional medical fees across Outpatient clinics and to ensure effective processes are in place to maximise revenue generation in-line with approved processes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Work in partnership with the Manager, Revenue Optimisation to investigate avenues and participate in the implementation of strategies to increase own source revenue.
- Maintain accurate financial records and controls within MediRecords (billing application) and Enterprise Scheduling Management (ESM) ensuring accounting functions comply with Financial Management standards, Medicare Australia, and other legislative frameworks.
- Develop and enhance staff competencies and experiences to support operational efficiency in the management of Central Billing Team, focusing on customer service, understanding MNHHS Policies, organisational knowledge, and current processes.
- Foster effective working relationships with Senior Administration Officer's and their teams, under the Central Billing Team portfolio, to promote service quality, responsiveness and compliance with established procedures and policies
