Your new role
As an APS6 Grants Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing and analysing financial data across grant programs. You'll provide strategic insights to support decision-making, ensure compliance with financial frameworks, and contribute to the continuous improvement of grant administration processes
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading financial analysis and reporting for grant programs
  • Monitoring expenditure, forecasting, and budget alignment
  • Advising stakeholders on financial performance and risks
  • Supporting audit processes and financial assurance activities
  • Enhancing financial systems and data integrity
  • Collaborating with policy and program teams to align financial outcomes with strategic objectives

What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting
  • Strong understanding of government financial frameworks and grant management
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or economics
  • Experience working at APS6 level or equivalent in a government or complex organisational setting
