Melhem Civil are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis, responsible for preparing and submitting competitive tenders for a wide range of demolition and civil works projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing and preparing estimates for a wide range of demolition projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness while maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Duties & responsibilities:

· Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements

· Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for bulk and detail excavation works

· Prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, plant, and subcontractors

· Obtain, analyse, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations

· Identify risks, constraints, and allowances for contingencies

· Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, including cost breakdowns and methodology inputs

· Support project managers and assist in quality control and documentations to ensure projects meet client expectations and industry standards.

· Attend site visits and inspections to assess conditions impacting costs

· Maintain cost databases, rates, and historical pricing records

Experience & qualifications:

· 2–3 years of experience as an Estimator in demolition, excavation, civil works, or related trades.

· Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification

· Strong understanding of demolition and excavation processes, site logistics, and waste disposal.

· Keen attention to detail, numerical accuracy & interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team

· Ability to work independently and within a team to manage multiple priorities

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.), experience in using Mudshark Earthworks estimating software preferred but not necessary

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
