Based in North Sydney near the station, our client is an instantly recognisable institution, and they are looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Manager/Finance Business Partner into a 12-month position within the finance function. With a commitment to bringing dynamic people into the organisation, this promises to be an excellent opportunity for an experienced FP&A/Business Partner/Commercial Manager to excel in a true value add role with opportunities to grow.

  • Preparation of the monthly management report including: - Monthly Flash Report components - Monthly Consolidated Management Report
  • Quarterly P&L and Cashflow forecasts
  • P&L review
  • Coordination of the Budgeting process in conjunction with Financial Controller and Manager - Corporate Planning
  • Variance analysis
  • Financial modelling
  • Perform high quality revenue and spend analysis, identifying key drivers of performance and levers for managing spend
  • Support preparation of budgets
  • Assist with month-end reporting
  • Facilitate the load of approved budgets into the appropriate systems
  • Adhoc analysis
  • Assist with continuous adhoc process improvement projects

To be considered for the role, you will be CA / CPA qualified with at least 3 years post qualified experience working within a similar commercial role within media. (Candidates coming from audit and then moved into a commercial role will be looked at favourably). You will have a proven track record to apply an analytical and commercial approach to decision making. Strong with excel, you are extremely comfortable with extracting and manipulating data. You will also enjoy working with non-finance stakeholders and adding commercial value by partnering with the business.
