ICT Site Manager | Initial 6-Month Contract | SA Government

Are you a strategic ICT leader ready to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking an experienced Site ICT Manager to lead ICT operations and drive technology-enabled learning outcomes at a large SA Government site.

Your new role

This pivotal role is responsible for managing ICT infrastructure, systems, and support services across a site. You will lead a high-performing team, oversee ICT projects, and provide expert advice to site leadership. Your work will directly support delivery, outcomes, and administrative efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage ICT support teams, including ICT Support Officers and trainees.
  • Plan and implement ICT infrastructure projects and service improvements.
  • Provide strategic advice on ICT systems, risks, and solutions.
  • Maintain and secure network infrastructure, including LAN, wireless, and cloud-based systems.
  • Develop disaster recovery plans and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align ICT resources with curriculum needs.
  • Deliver second and third-level technical support for complex ICT issues.
  • Oversee stakeholder Services and HR functions related to ICT operations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience managing ICT teams in complex environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
  • High-level communication and documentation capabilities.
  • Expertise in ICT technologies relevant to this industry, including Windows Server, virtualisation platforms, networking, LMS, MDM tools, and automation (PowerShell, Microsoft Power Platform).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead ICT projects and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Commitment to safety, inclusivity, and public sector values.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related fields.
  • ITIL certification or equivalent experience.
