The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Information Technology systems and personnel. This includes maintaining the stability and uptime of communication tools, computer systems, and networks, while ensuring data security and system reliability. The role also manages the ERP Analyst team to ensure ERP systems meet business needs and supports the implementation of technological solutions that improve operational efficiency and simplify workflows.

The IT Manager is the primary liaison to the Global IT Team to ensure alignment with all strategies from a global business perspective. This role serves as the primary collaborator for all IT vendors, including managed service providers (MSPs) for both infrastructure and ERP, and is accountable for IT budgeting, cyber readiness, and compliance oversight, including JSOX audit leadership.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Strategic IT Plan Development and Implementation: Measure the progress and effectiveness of the 3-5 year IT strategic plan, including annual updates and alignment with company growth plans.
  • Project Delivery within Budget and Timeframe: Track the percentage of IT projects delivered within the approved budget and specified timeframe.
  • IT System Efficiency and Effectiveness: Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of existing IT tools, systems, and technologies, including recommended changes and their impact on company resources.
  • IT Security and Compliance: Monitor the adherence to IT security protocols, prevention of unauthorized intrusions, and compliance with governance (JSOX) protocols.
  • Team Development and Performance: Assess the development and performance of the IT team, including hiring, training, and retention of high-performing staff.

Essential Functions

Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Monitor and maintain the IT infrastructure to ensure consistent performance and minimal downtime.
  • Manage and optimize on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including server and network systems, AD/Entra, and connectivity thereof.
  • Oversee correct operations on MS Power Platform applications.
  • Maintain relevant business systems, tools, and processes to support efficient operations.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Implement and enforce security protocols to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Lead cyber readiness initiatives, including employee training, awareness programs, and incident response planning.
  • Follow standard procedures to eliminate IT risks, including educating and guiding end users on network security.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including data protection and cybersecurity standards.
  • Lead JSOX audit preparation and execution for the IT division, ensuring documentation, controls, and processes meet audit requirements.
  • Manage backup and recovery processes to safeguard company data.

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT vendors, including MSPs for infrastructure and ERP.
  • Manage vendor relationships & communication, contracts, renewals, and performance.
  • Manage 3rd party providers, including incidents, warranties, hardware/software, and SLAs.
  • Maintain and manage the IT budget, including forecasting, procurement, and cost optimization.

ERP & Business Systems Oversight

  • Lead ERP Analysts and ensure timely delivery of ERP projects, enhancements, and support.
  • Perform ERP system administration functions as trained.
  • Oversee ERP user training, including development of training guides with subject matter experts.
  • Support the business with test script development and testing.
  • Ensure business process mapping and procedure documentation.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with stakeholders across all business levels to align IT initiatives with business needs.
  • Lead IT strategic planning and roadmap development and participate
  • Gather information for status reports to inform Business Management on progress.
  • Liaise with local and USA-based IT teams to ensure alignment with corporate IT strategies.

Training, Support & Change Management

  • Lead the training effort and support for new technologies, upgrades, and system changes to ensure smooth adoption.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to provide necessary tools and systems for effective operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Broad IT expertise across various disciplines (systems development, hardware/software, network infrastructure, ERP, cybersecurity, etc.).
  • Deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure/M365, Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise networking.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems from an infrastructure and support perspective.
  • Proficiency in using ERP software, SQL, and other relevant technical tools.
  • Experience with ITIL practices and service management platforms.
  • Experience leading cybersecurity, audit, and compliance requirements (e.g., E8, NIST, ISO, JSOX).
  • Proven experience managing MSPs and vendor contracts (performance tracking, SLA enforcement, relationship management).
  • Experience managing IT budgets and procurement processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Effective in managing multiple priorities and leading cross-functional initiatives in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams and departments.
  • Solid understanding of business processes in Procurement, Logistics, Sales, Finance, and Manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges and deliver effective solutions.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Power Bi, database structure and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to work outside standard business hours as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Computer Science or related technical degree desirable. Experience considered in place of a degree.
  • Minimum 5 years in IT Management required; leading teams in a manufacturing setting strongly preferred.
  • 3 years of direct system/network administration in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Previous technical experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience directly leading IT projects, application/software development teams, evaluation, and implementation of new hardware and software systems, providing evidence of previously on-time delivery, to budget, and to the required level of quality.
