The Case Manager, High Risk is accountable to a Team Leader, Injury Management for effectively managing complex claims and compensation services for a portfolio of Local Service Areas that complies with the Return to Work Act 2014, Additional Compensation under the Police Officers Award and other relevant legislation, SAPOL's Injury and Absence Management Policy and the South Australian Public Sector Code of Practice for Crown self-Insured employers.
The role will provide a claim and return to work consultancy service to line managers including identifying gaps in their understanding of processes, educating senior staff on their responsibilities and provide expertise into the identification and development of improvements to claims and compensation systems, practices, policies and procedures.
The role works in close partnership with managers, employees and their representatives to assess, determine, negotiate and advise on diverse claims and compensation services of significant financial impact that take into consideration case law, workforce pressures and scheme costs.
Special Conditions
- The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
- The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
- The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.
Salary
ASO6 - $98,478 - $104,165 per annum.
