About the role – Full Time Contract until 30/06/2027
The Case Manager plays an important role in supporting women experiencing homelessness, helping them find safety, stability, and a path forward. This position focuses on creating a safe, respectful environment while helping clients work toward long-term stability. The role involves building strong, trusting relationships, coordinating access to essential services, and providing personalised, trauma-informed support that empowers women on their journey toward independence and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised case plans to support each client's unique needs and goals.
- Coordinate access to housing, mental health, domestic violence, and other support services in collaboration with partner organisations.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accommodation site, ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, providing trauma-informed, culturally safe, and empowering support throughout their stay.
About you:
You are a compassionate and motivated individual with experience in case management or community services. You build respectful relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and bring a calm, empathetic approach to your work. Organised and adaptable, you thrive both independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to supporting women on their path to stability and independence.
You will also have the following skills and experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, or relevant experience in the homelessness sector.
- Previous experience in working with vulnerable and at-risk people.
- Working with Aboriginal People and communities in the provision of support services.
- Case Management, preferably working with marginalised populations and individuals.
