About the Role

We're looking for a reliable and motivated Casual Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has strong food preparation skills, works well under pressure, and maintains high standards of hygiene, quality, and consistency. This role includes weekday, evening, weekend and public holiday shifts as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present menu items in line with our standards
  • Assist with daily food preparation, including prep lists and mise en place
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
  • Follow food safety standards and workplace health & safety procedures
  • Ensure correct portioning, food quality, and presentation
  • Support the team during busy service periods
  • Label, date, and store food correctly
  • Assist with stock rotation, waste minimisation, and inventory tasks
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a cook, kitchen hand, or chef (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (FoodSafe or equivalent desirable)
  • Strong time-management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours
