Expressions of interest are invited from ongoing and temporary employees within the NSW Public Sector who wish to be considered for this temporary role for a period up to 12 months.
About the Role
As Director, Finance, Procurement & Budgeting, you will lead the strategic finance and procurement function for the Premier's Department and The Cabinet Office, enabling delivery of current and future business needs while maintaining robust budget management and reporting systems.
You'll provide expert financial advice to senior executives, oversee compliance with government policy, and guide the preparation of accurate financial reports. A key focus will be delivering major projects and driving operational excellence across finance and procurement.

We're Looking For
- Financial leadership: Ability to lead finance and procurement functions, ensuring strong governance and operational excellence across a complex environment
- Technical expertise: CPA-qualified with deep accounting knowledge and experience in audit and compliance within government frameworks
- Government knowledge: Skilled in navigating public sector financial policy, legislative requirements, and delivering advice that supports informed decision-making
- Strategic delivery: Proven capability to manage complex projects, balance competing priorities, and drive improvements in financial performance
- People leadership: Experienced in building high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and guiding staff through evolving priorities with confidence
