Acquired by the Kamamoto Inc. in 2020, the Porter Group have built long term relationships across a diverse range of industries with our brands including Porter Plant and Madica. Reporting directly into the CFO, this newly created position duties will include a combination of a Management Accounting and Financial Planning. It is an exciting time to join the Porter Group as the business continues to grow and expand its network of branches and product offerings. The role will be essential in supporting the business as it executes its ambitious growth plans.

Supporting the CFO and other key stakeholders within the business you will be responsible for

  • Managing the budgeting and forecasting processes to support top line growth and improve business performance including business analytics and financial modelling
  • Presentation of accurate and timely financial information and reporting ensuring month end, quarterly and annual accounts are prepared backed by meaningful analysis and commentary ensuring the needs of 'Users' of the financial information are satisfied.
  • Maintain and enhance the integrity of the Group's financial and accounting ERP and develop policies, processes and procedures to improve the Group's internal control environment.
  • Develop and implement reporting system enhancements to meet the evolving requirements of the business including customer,asset and branch performance.
  • Preparing detailed financial performance reports and dashboards for senior management
  • Partnering with business units to deliver actionable insights and performance recommendations
  • Contributing to long-term financial planning and strategic projects
  • Maintain and report on internal KPI's on various business units within the Group
  • Audit and Adhoc projects as required

To be successful in the role, you will bring

  • Strong technical accounting skills and a solid understanding of end-to-end financial processes
  • The ability to turn volumes of data into meaningful infromation
  • Curiosity to identify trends and suggest solutions
  • Proficient with Power BI
  • A minimum of 5 years of management accounting experience in industry
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and forecasting
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Innovative problem-solver with a proactive mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
