Designer.
This is a part-time role.

If you bring residential design and styling experience, paired with exceptional AutoCAD and SketchUp skills, you might just be the one we've been searching for. You'll also be a confident communicator, comfortable working directly with clients, project managers, and trades.

IN A NUTSHELL…

This role is exciting, fast-paced, and ever-changing – no two days (or projects) are the same.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Confident use of AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • Attending client meetings to discuss goals, budgets, styles, plans, and finishes
  • Liaising with trades and project managers
  • Space planning, including furniture placement and floor plans
  • Developing design concepts, colour palettes, lighting plans, material selections, and furniture schemes
  • Creating vision boards, detailed 2D/3D plans, and visualisations for clients
  • Sourcing furniture, fixtures, materials, and decorative items
  • Styling homes from concept right through to final execution
  • Ensuring designs meet building codes, safety requirements, and accessibility standards
  • Managing photoshoots from conception through to content delivery, working closely with photographers and our content team
  • Attending construction site visits to oversee progress and ensure the design vision comes to life

You'll have experience independently managing the interior and exterior design and styling of residential homes for clients. You'll also have experience coordinating photo shoots end-to-end, and be highly skilled in creating vision boards, AutoCAD drawings, and SketchUp models.

We're looking for someone who will love being part of the Three Birds family. You're passionate, hard-working, proactive, and full of creative energy - a flexible team player who is agile, innovative, and ready to dive in wherever needed.

This is a part-time role - either 3 full days per week or 4–5 shorter days.

Hours are typically standard business hours, although you may occasionally need to be on-site for shoots, design meetings, or installations from 7:00 a.m.

Your time will be split between our Dural office and various project sites, with interstate travel required for some projects.
