What would I be doing?

If you have experience with design systems or want to learn more, this job is for you You will work with other designers to help shape design systems for many of our large corporate clients. This isn't just a pretty style guide - this role is for someone who wants to facilitate change within an organisation through design.

You will work on real-life design systems at differing levels of maturity and complexity. Working within a positive and experienced team, this is a great experience to learn about the nuance of design systems and what it takes to deliver something of high quality.

What does my day to day look like?
  • Talking about the smallest minute detail and the big overall vision
  • Validating concepts through prototyping and testing UI
  • Developing systems and methodologies behind design choices
  • Solving unique problems in an interesting way, sometimes the best solution is the simplest
  • Working directly with clients and customers where your ideas and advice matters

Who are Human looking for?

We're looking for someone that is a designer but developer minded. We are looking for personalities rather than experience.

The ideal people would have experience with:

  • Designing and rolling out design systems, or a want to do just this
  • Not afraid to make their own rules
  • Has some level of coding experience
  • Working with startups or within product teams
  • Helping define strategy and design decisions
  • Not being afraid to ask questions to better understand problems
  • Using modern design tools, Figma
What else should I know?
  • Flexible working hours
  • Remote working or at our Sydney CBD office, between Wynyard/Town Hall
  • Contract or Perm roles available
