About the role

As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining our Manufacturing Facilities and Services on the Kalgoorlie Explosive Reserve. You will be working within a small maintenance team and your primary focus will be working hands-on on preventative maintenance schedules, breakdowns & shutdowns.

This opportunity is residential to Kalgoorlie, so therefore all interested parties must have their own accommodation as FIFO is not on offer.

What you will be doing

  • Support the operation of the manufacturing facilities within the reserve;
  • Work within the maintenance team and alongside the reliability engineer to develop maintenance solutions that cost effectively support long term plant operation;
  • Ensuring work practices and environment comply with SH&E standards; and
  • Working with the Production Teams in developing Continuous Improvement Initiatives, from concept through to implementation.

What you will bring

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate (essential);
  • Ability to obtain security checks and Police Clearance
  • SAP experience (desirable);
  • Excellent written and communication skills;
  • Strong safety focus.
