Purchasing Officer

We're seeking a proactive and detail-orientated Purchasing professional to manage inventory and supply, ordering, purchasing and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships within our team in Banyo.

About the Role:

• Order Management:Manage the purchasing inbox, place job-specific stock orders, process web orders and customer orders and address pricing discrepancies with suppliers, handle returns, and process credits.
• Inventory Control: Handle backorders and provide regular reporting, update estimated times of arrival for customers, facilitate stock transfers between locations and businesses and execute stock adjustments and conduct rolling stock takes.
• Supplier Relations: Stay updated on supplier price increases, work closely with all suppliers, generate reports on duplicate parts and reconcile supplier statements.
• Catalogue and Pricing Maintenance: Create new part numbers as needed, maintain the inventory catalogue, pricing, and discount structure, update No Longer Available (NLA) and Do Not Reorder (DNR) part numbers and report on duplicate parts.
• Procurement Operations:Manage the entire Request for Quotation (RFQ) process for Parts & Accessories (P&A), raise and manage purchase orders and ensure timely completion of sales and general product distribution.
• Customer Relations: Keep customers informed about expected product delivery times, manage back-orders and replenishment, handle expiry management and process return goods authorisations.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek to enhance inventory and planning processes, using analytical skills to solve problems and identify improvement areas.
